Every halal butcher says the same three words. Almost none will tell you which farm, which day, or show you the certificate. We decided that was the actual product.
Our halal promise
Certified is the floor, not the ceiling.
A halal label only tells you how an animal was slaughtered. We think you should also know which farm it came from, who cut it and when. So we publish all of it.

Sourcing standards
Four things we won't compromise on.

Slaughter
A Muslim slaughterman hand-slaughters every animal with the tasmiyah recited over each one. No mechanical slaughter, and no stunning that would render an animal non-halal.

Certification
A recognized halal authority audits and certifies our facility, and turns up unannounced. Every certificate is dated and published, so you can read the exact one covering your box.

Separation
We have never handled non-halal meat. Not on a separate line, not on a separate day. There is nothing to cross-contaminate because it has never been in the building.

Traceability
Every box carries a QR code linking to the farm, the slaughter date, the butcher who cut it and the certificate for that batch. If we can't trace it, we don't sell it.
The farms
The same farms, every single week.
We don't buy on the open market. We work with the same family farms on standing agreements, which means the same feed and the same handling every week. That is why the meat tastes the same every week.
